Terms of service

These terms apply to purchases from madeinsong.com, operated by an individual based in Italy ("Made In Song", "we"). By placing an order you agree to them.

1. Who can order. You must be at least 18 and located in the United States.

2. What you buy. A custom song made from your answers, delivered as a private gift page with a player, the lyrics and a downloadable audio file. Price and delivery time are shown before checkout. Delivery, revisions and refunds work as described in our Delivery Policy and Refund Policy.

3. AI-assisted creation. Our songs are written and produced with the help of artificial intelligence tools, and every song is checked by a person before delivery. Because each song is generated individually, it won't match any sample on our site exactly, and the voice is AI-generated, not a recording by a real singer. We don't guarantee chart-quality production or any particular emotional reaction.

4. Your answers. You're responsible for what you send us. You confirm that you're allowed to share the details you provide and that they're accurate, especially names and their spelling.

5. Content we don't accept. We may decline or stop an order, with a full refund, if the request:

  • is meant to harass, threaten, shame or deceive someone;
  • is sexually explicit, hateful or violent, or involves a minor in any romantic or sexual context;
  • asks us to imitate a real artist's voice or reuse existing song lyrics or melodies;
  • includes someone else's private information that could cause them harm;
  • is otherwise illegal or violates the rules of the tools we use.

We may also adjust the lyrics to leave out or soften explicit, offensive or overly sensitive details. We keep the person, the occasion and the heart of your story; if the story can't be told well without those details, we'll decline the order with a full refund instead. These adjustments are part of making your song, not a mistake under our Refund Policy, and revisions can't add those details back.

6. How you can use your song. Your song is for personal, non-commercial use: you can play it, download it, gift it and share it with friends and family, including on your personal social media. You may not sell it, license it, use it in advertising, or upload it to streaming or music distribution services, unless we agree in writing.

7. Our use. We won't publish your song or story. We'll ask for your written permission first if we'd ever like to feature it.

8. Limitation of liability. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

9. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without depriving you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws of your state of residence. Before any formal dispute, please write to info@madeinsong.com: we'll try to resolve it within 30 days.

10. Changes. We may update these terms. The version in force when you placed your order applies to that order.
